The Bearded Sinners hosted yesterday the second annual “Best in the West Beard Festival” to raise money for the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful nonprofit.

“We partner with them throughout the year to help clean up our areas parks and green spaces as well as any other projects we can be of use to,” said event organizers. “This is by far the biggest fundraiser we hold, and we couldn’t be happier to be raising the funds for such an amazing organization.”

The main event at Wingfield Parks was the bearded and mustache competition where a panel of judges ranked facial hair on fullness, style, and presentation. Beards were broken into 12-inches and under and 12-inches and over. Mustaches were split between length and freestyle.

The audience gave applause and cheers to each contestant. One of the stranger, but equally adorable, contests was the competition for girls who used a variety of faux beards to impress the judges. The event also hosted a silent auction, live music, and food trucks. View the photographs below.
