Voter turnout peaks 23 percent

Voter turnout for the 2014 Primary was 23.43 percent, according to Luanne Cutler, Washoe County Register of Voters. The turnout represents a 3.5 percent increase from the 2012 Primary Election.

This year’s turnout in numbers:

• 50,960 Washoe County ballots were cast
• 21.22 percent of those votes were registered Democrats
• 32.68 percent of those votes were registered Republicans
• Total voter turnout for Washoe county was 23.43 percent
