Giving Tuesday may be over, but the chance to help out your local community continues into December at Nevada Standard Management Company properties. This holiday season, the property management group has partnered with Toys for Tots to collect toys at their Reno and Las Vegas locations.
“Last year, over 10,000 kids in the Reno area alone were given the gift of hope through Toys for Tots,” said Steven Cohen, President of Standard Management Company. “Our properties participate because our staff and residents agree no child should go without a gift during the holiday season.”
The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program has been bringing Christmas cheer to needy children since 1947. Collection boxes are placed throughout a community and residents are asked to donate new, unwrapped toys, which would be suitable for children 12 and under. All toys collected in a local community stay in that local community.
“If a toy is collected at one of our Las Vegas or Henderson properties, it will help a Clark County child. If it is collected at a Reno or Sparks property, it will help a Washoe County child,” said Tony Kuper, Director of Residential Operations. “This is our way of helping our neighbors in the communities directly adjacent to our properties.”
Residents and the public alike are invited to donate to the Toys for Tots program at Nevada Standard Management Company locations. Donation boxes are located inside the front office of all Reno and Las Vegas properties (listed below). Donations will be accepted until Dec. 15.
