Serial Tagger Faces Felony Charge After Being Arrested

reno_police_rpd-4922617-7378979The Reno Police Department has arrested what it is calling a “prolific” graffiti tagger. Gustavo Lopez-Nunez is facing a felony charge for more than 170 separate tagging incidences in Midtown and downtown.

“This vandalism caused over $10,000 worth of damage to different residences and businesses within our community,” said RPD in a press statement. “The suspect would tag walls, fences, street signs and freeway overpasses.”

Lopez-Nunez was arrested after a lengthy investigation by RPD’s Graffiti Enforcement Team.

The City of Reno and the Graffiti Enforcement Team encourage the reporting of graffiti so that it can be cleaned. You can report graffiti by calling 775-334-4636 or emailing [email protected]
