NEWS RELEASE

International men’s volleyball is headed to Reno for the Pan American Cup on Aug. 12-17 when a team of up-and-coming U.S. players will take on opponents from around the region at the downtown Reno Events Center.

Teams from the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela are scheduled to compete.

A young U.S. team will be led by Head Coach Jeff Nygaard, a three-time Olympian who was recently named head coach of the men’s volleyball team at the University of Southern California (USC).

Two Northern California products are on the U.S. preliminary roster: Jake Langlois of San Jose and Kyle Russell of Loomis. Langlois recently finished his sophomore season at BYU and Russell will play his senior season at UC Irvine this year.

The Pan American Cup is an annual tournament that gives the up-and-coming stars of men’s volleyball the opportunity to face international competition.

Finals and Semi-Finals will be held on Sunday, August 16th and Monday, August 17th.

Tickets are available at http://bit.ly/15PACTix.
