Date:

kiwanisbikeswap_2014_photo1-375x500-8976175-7259935The Great Reno Bike Swap and sale is an opportunity to purchase all types of quality used bicycles, bike parts and related bike gear at affordable prices. It is a venue for those looking to sell their equipment on consignment.

All sellers receive 80 percent of the sales price, while the swap retains 20 percent. There is no fee if the bike or equipment doesn’t sell, but it must be picked up between 2- 3 p.m. or it becomes the property of the Kiwanis Bike Program.

Kiwanis staff will be on hand to make sure all equipment is in good working condition and provide pricing assistance for those selling bicycles. No fixers will be permitted into the Sale/Swap. Kiwanis staff can safety check your bike, but cannot do repairs if the bike isn’t road ready. You may donate your bike if it can’t be sold and get a tax deduction receipt.

Part of the proceeds of The Great Reno Bike Swap benefit the Nevada Colon Cancer Partnership. Proceeds will also benefit the Kiwanis Bike Program. The bike program teaches bike safety and repair plus, and donates the majority of its refurbished bikes to youth organizations and schools in Northern Nevada.
