Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The 32nd annual Chili on the Comstock once again brings the heat to the Comstock in historic Virginia City, May 2 – 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The historic town plays host to more than 30 professional chili cooks and hundreds of revelers participating in the #CrawlBackInTime Fireball Saloon Crawl, a sampling of themed beverages from 15 locations.

New this year is the Fun with the Runs! inaugural 5K that starts on C Street. The run starts at 10 a.m., the same time as the event, with runners and walkers making their way through the hilly terrain back to the cook-off venue. Participants are encouraged to dress in costume with winners to be selected prior to the race.

Family friendly activities include the Kids Zone with a bungee trampoline, giant slide and bounce house located at the Delta Saloon parking lot. Single tickets will be sold the day of the event.

The two-day event brings the best chili cookers from around the West to complete daily for bragging rights and the people’s choice award with winners receiving cash prizes.

Tasting kits are now on sale online at VisitVirginiaCityNV.com.
