MOANA NURSERY NEWS RELEASE
March 15 will be Inspiration Day at Moana Nursery. Pick one to three of these topics to get inspired for spring. All offerings are designed for anyone who is interested in or new to gardening! Seminars are held in the Moana Nursery Seminar Room, and seating is limited to 60 for each seminar.
10:00 – 10:45: Creating a backyard habitat for birds, bees and butterflies — Bill Carlos May, Arboretum & Botanical Garden Horticulturist
11:00 – 11:45: 20 Reasons Nevada is a great place to start gardening – Lisa Braginton, Moana Plant Doctor & Certified Arborist
12:00 – 12:45: Selecting and growing fruit trees – Steve Packer, Moana Plant Doctor, Certified Arborist & high desert gardener
Live demonstrations with container specialist Leslie Richardson will be held inside the Moana Lane store.
10:00 – 10:45 a.m.: Succulents and living walls
11:00 – 11:45 a.m.: Spring containers
Hands-on pruning instruction will be provided by Certified Arborist Jon Bruyn outdoors in the Moana Lane yard.
10:00 – 10:45 a.m. and 11:00 – 11:45 a.m. Must register and pay $5 fee in advance at our Moana Lane store and or you can call 825-0600 and register with your credit card. (No shows will not be refunded their $5.) Class size is limited to 20. Adults only. A $5 voucher for use March 15 only will be given at the end of the session.
