Christmas Tree Permits Available November 25

us-doi-blm-logo-1-300x261-2112412-2679313Winnemucca, Nev.: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Winnemucca District Office, will begin selling Christmas tree permits on Monday, November 25.  The $5.00 permit authorizes the cutting of one Pinyon or Juniper tree for use as a Christmas tree in a tree-cutting area located in the Winnemucca District portion of the Stillwater Range. This area is approximately thirty miles east of Lovelock in Pershing County, Nevada.

The permits can be purchased in person or by mail from the Winnemucca District Office at 5100 East Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca NV 89445-2921 or in person in Lovelock at the Pershing County Farm Service Agency Office at 110 American Blvd. Lovelock, NV.  An information sheet and map will be distributed with each permit.  Please note that the Winnemucca District Office will be closed on November 28, 2013 in celebration of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday but will reopen on Friday November 29.
