Students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine’s Class of 2016 will hold a memorial service to honor those who donated their bodies to the anatomical donation program for medical research and education. The service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14 at Walton’s Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends of donors are invited to attend the service.

The memorial service will allow medical students to express their deepest appreciation for the individuals who donated their bodies to science.
Walton’s Funeral Home Chapel is located at 875 W. Second Street in Reno.

The anatomical donation program accepts donations from individuals for anatomical research conducted at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. The program has been in operation since 1987, and offers medical students and faculty the opportunity to further research of the human body.
