“Compared to the 2008 General Election, we had 241,214 registered voters this year, which is an increase of 9,777,” said Washoe County Registrar of Voters Dan Burk. “Our turnout for the General Election in 2008 was 180,676 and 188,244 this year, which is an increase of 7,568 more voters,” said Burk.
Burk said the County saved $65,000 this election because sample ballots were completely designed in-house.
