Feminine PAD drive hits Reno streets, raises money for middle schools

A Salon 7, an award winning salon and proponent of building a stronger community, is giving back to the Truckee Meadows with a PAD Drive. All donations will be distributed to local (Washoe County) Middle Schools.

“We have become increasingly aware of the lack of feminine products available to middle school kids. Middle School can be a tough time for any kid and being singled out is generally not a positive experience. One of our clients, a local teacher told us about numerous young girls whose parents didn’t have the resources to provide them with feminine products and the school could not provide adequate supplies.” says Nikki Becker, A Salon 7 Hair Stylist.

Jenny Oxier, A Salon 7 Co-Owner goes on to say, “We have a committed and talented team of people who will work to encourage donations of supplies from the public and local businesses. A Salon 7 feels responsible for giving back to our community and this is definitely a great cause.”

Feminine PAD Donations can be dropped off at A Salon 7, 495 Morrill Ave in Reno.

We are also looking for Gift Certificates from local businesses that could be raffled off to local donors as a way to reward them for their kind act.
