November Dining at the Carson Valley Inn Featuring New Menu Items in CV Steak

November dining at the Carson Valley Inn includes value specials and 24-hour convenience in Katie’s, a variety of dinner entrees in CV Steak and quick-stop fare in Job’s Perk. Thanksgiving Day dinner specials will be offered in CV Steak and Katie’s and both restaurants are also serving all of their regular menu choices on Thanksgiving Day.

CV Steak is open from 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday through Sunday featuring a selection of tasty appetizers, a bountiful wine list and a generous assortment of entrées including steaks, chops, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes. New entrees for this fall are a Seafood Mixed Grill, Beef Stroganoff, Chop Steak, Herb Grilled Chicken Breast and a Gourmet Hamburger also known as the French Disaster! New appetizers include Steamed Clams and Salmon Tartare.

On Thanksgiving, CV Steak will be open for dinner from 3:30 p.m. serving all regular menu items plus two featured Thanksgiving dinner specials: Wood-Roasted Tom Turkey and Stuffed Petrale Sole.

All CV Steak entrees include tableside-tossed salad and, except for the pasta dishes, vegetable and your choice of potato – baked, au gratin or a one-pound, twice-baked potato. CV Steak offers a combination of price, selection, ambience and service that make casual dinners and special occasions affordable and memorable. Reservations are recommended in CV Steak by calling 775-783-6650.

Katie’s variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices is enhanced by an array of appetizers, desserts and ice cream fountain specialties. Katie’s 24-hour signature special is a $5.99 Hamsteak and Eggs plate with enough ham for sandwich leftovers the next day! There is also a $4.99 “Loaded Pancakes” special mornings until 11 a.m. and a different dinner special every night from 2 to 10 p.m.

Mondays in November Katie’s offers a Beef Burrito Enchilada Style with lettuce, tomato, cheese, Spanish rice and refried beans for $5.99. Tuesday’s special is a Grilled Pork Medallions Plate with mashed potatoes, pan gravy and vegetables for $5.99.

The Wednesday special is Teriyaki Chicken Breast with steamed Jasmine rice, pineapple ring and broccoli for $5.99. Every Thursday in November, Katie’s serves Corned Beef and Cabbage with parsley red-skinned potatoes and creamed horseradish sauce for $5.99.

Katie’s complete Prime Rib Dinner is served every Friday and Saturday night in November for $9.99. Included are a half-pound of slow-roasted prime rib of beef with au jus, twice-baked potato, creamed horseradish sauce and choice of soup or salad. This special is also available in a ¾-pound cut for $12.99 and a full pound cut for $15.99. “The Chandler” Southern Fried Chicken dinner continues its long run on Sundays in Katie’s and includes mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and a biscuit all for $5.99.

On Thanksgiving, Katie’s will be open all-day serving all regular menu items plus a traditional Roast Tom Turkey dinner special from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Fresh-baked cakes, pies, cupcakes, brownies and cookies are made daily in the Carson Valley Inn Bakery and are available for purchase at the display case near the Katie’s cashier counter. As a special bonus for INN Club members during November, all Katie’s baked goods are half off on Mondays when purchased with INN Club points. Points are earned whenever using your card while playing the slots, table games or live poker at the Carson Valley Inn.

Job’s Perk opens daily at 6 a.m. and is a convenient spot for coffee, pastries, sandwiches, salads and chili or clam chowder bowls. Afternoon/evening fresh-baked cookies are available and there is an assortment of bottled wine, champagne and canned beers. Job’s Perk also sells newspapers, basic sundries and CVI-logo golf apparel.

INN Club members can use PointPay to redeem earned points towards their restaurant checks at the Carson Valley Inn. Simply swipe your card in Katie’s or Job’s Perk or present your card to the server in CV Steak.

Football fans can catch their favorite college or pro game on the Inn’s three-dozen flatscreen TVs in the Sports Bar and Casino and the giant HD pull-down screen in the Cabaret Lounge. Munch-at-your-seat bar food is available through the bartenders or slot hosts. Choices include Two Beef Tacos with salsa for $3.99 and six different items priced at $4.99: A one-pound basket of Buffalo Chicken Wings with celery and ranch dressing; Chicken Strips and Fries; a Breakfast Burrito with eggs, meat, cheese and potatoes – including a Free Bloody Mary or Budweiser Draft; a Bagel Sandwich with fried egg, sausage patty or bacon, and cheddar cheese on a toasted bagel with fries; a Cheese Quesadilla with salsa and Guacamole; and a Hamburger or Cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion and American cheese on a sesame seed bun with fries.
