The Great Reno Balloon Race, Sept. 7-9 2012, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, instructs attendees to use designated parking areas during the event.
Parking at Rancho San Rafael:
Friday thru Sunday public parking is available at Rancho San Rafael, managed by Reno South Rotary, for a $10 donation. The lots are located on the corner of Sierra Street and McCarran Blvd. as well as on Coleman Street. These lots are a short walking distance to the field.
Parking at University of Nevada:
FREE parking is available on North Campus lots, Friday, 5 a.m. – 10 a.m. and Sunday, 3 a.m. – 10 a.m. On Saturday parking is available at the West Stadium Parking Complex (enter on 16th Street) and the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex (enter on S. Virginia Street). On Saturday, the North Campus parking lots are reserved for permit parking only for the Nevada football game. Balloon Race parking is unavailable.
Parking along McCarran Blvd. is PROHIBITED. Parking Laws will be enforced.
Handicapped Parking is available at any entrance of the park during the event.
RTC RIDE Service:
RTC RIDE offers park and ride service to and from The Great Reno Balloon Race on Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9. RTC RIDE has pickup points at RSCVA Convention Center, Parking Lot C, Reed High School and the RTC 4th Street Station in downtown Reno.
