CARSON CITY – Mike Willden, Director of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is proud to announce effective May 7, 2012, the appointment of Mary Liveratti as Administrator of the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD).

Liveratti, currently the DHHS Deputy Director, was previously the ADSD’s Administrator November 1999 thru January 2003. Liveratti worked in ADSD 23 years prior to moving to the Director’s Office in 2003. Liveratti fills the vacant position left by the former ADSD Administrator, Carol Sala, who retired last month.

Liveratti has been recognized as an advocate for senior and disability issues by many entities such as the Sanford Center on Aging, the Nevada Disability Advocacy and Law Center, the Human Services Network, Commission on Autism, and the Governor’s Office. In addition, she has served on many Senior and Disability Boards/Commissions such as: Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities, Commission on Autism Spectrum Disorders, Governor’s Partnership on 2-1-1, Commission on Aging, and the Board of Long Term Care Administrators.

“I am thrilled to return to the programs and people I hold so dear,” Liveratti said. “I look forward to this opportunity and appreciate the trust Mike has in me.”

“Mary has been an unwavering advocate for senior and disability services,” Willden said. “No one works harder at doing the right thing than Mary.”
