The Nevada Chamber Music Festival Continues

Date:

South Reno United Methodist Church is the venue for the next two days of the Nevada Chamber Music Festival! The Church is located at 200 De Spain Lane in Reno, off of Wedge Parkway and the Mt. Rose Highway.

Tickets are still available for all our remaining Festival concerts. You can purchase them online, or by calling the RCO office at (775) 348-9413. You can also buy tickets at the door starting 45 minutes before each performance.

Here’s a brief look at the great music we have lined up for you:

Today – Thursday, December 29 – our Lunch Concert No. 1 at 12:00 noon features sonatas by Janacek, Beethoven, and Saint-Saens. You’re then welcome to stay at the Church where lunch will be available. Right after lunch, at 2:00 p.m., the Masterworks Concert No. 2 includes a quintet by Faure, piano trios by Brahms and Turina, and Tchaikovsky’s string sextet “Souvenir de Florence.”

We’ve got three concerts on Friday, December 30. At noon, the Lunch Concert No. 2 includes works by Vaughan Williams and Franck. After lunch, which you’re once again invited to enjoy with us at the Church, our 2:00 p.m. All-Bach Concert brings you solo works by the great master for violin, cello and piano. Finally, at 7:00 p.m. the Masterworks Concert #3 features music by Mozart, Bruckner, and Elgar.

Three more concerts are coming your way on Saturday, New Year’s Eve, at Nightingale Concert Hall. Look for another message from us in a couple of days with more details.

We’re pleased to say that Festival tickets are selling at record levels – but there’s still plenty of time for you to get your tickets and enjoy the music with us.

Be sure to check out the RCO website for all Festival details, including RCO Executive Director Scott Faulkner’s video introductions for each concert, program notes, performer bios, videos, and more.
