School of Medicine’s free clinic dates for November announced

Four clinics planned this month at School’s Family Medicine Center
RENO, Nev.— The University of Nevada School of Medicine’s free Student Outreach Clinic dates for November are scheduled as follows:

  • Children’s clinic – Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon
  • Women’s clinic – Nov. 8 and 29 from 6 to 9 p.m.
  • General clinic – Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon

Student Outreach Clinics are a free service providing much needed care for the area’s medically uninsured population. Clinics offer physicals for work or school, EKGs, blood pressure monitoring, referrals and selected lab services at discounted fees.

Under the direct supervision of licensed faculty and community physicians, medical students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine offer monthly Student Outreach Clinics providing free basic medical care. No appointment is necessary for clinic patients who are seen on a first come, first served basis. Early arrival is strongly recommended. Spanish translators are available as needed.

All clinics are held at the School of Medicine’s Family Medicine Center, located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus just north of Mackay Stadium off of North Virginia Street. Take RTC bus route 7 to North Virginia Street or the free Sierra Spirit bus.
