Advertising and communications firm recognized for advertising work

The Glenn Group, a Nevada-based advertising, interactive and public relations agency, recently received a national silver ADDY® award. The agency was recognized for its work with EMPLOYERS® and was honored in the photography category for the client’s annual calendar project.

EMPLOYERS is positioned as “America’s small business insurance specialist,” so The Glenn Group wanted to incorporate that into the 2010 calendar design. Using items from the industries that EMPLOYERS most commonly works with, The Glenn Group team designed 13 American “flags,” all of which were built by hand then photographed. The winning flag was designed for the plastics industry and consisted of hundreds of plastic objects formed into the shape and colors of the American flag. “It’s always exciting to be recognized nationally for our creativity,” said B.C. LeDoux, The Glenn Group’s President/Creative Director. “This was even more special because our team worked so hard on this particular piece.”

The annual National ADDY® competition judges more than 60,000 entries each year in what is noted as the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition.  National ADDY® award entries must receive a gold or silver ADDY® at the local and district levels before competing in the national competition.

The National ADDY® competition is a product of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), which is headquartered in Washington, D.C.  The organization acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising” and is the oldest national advertising trade association in the industry.  For more information, visit AAF’s website at www.aaf.org.
