SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Derby Day, the Reno Chamber Orchestra’s annual celebration of the Kentucky Derby, is coming up on Saturday, May 7 at 12:00 noon at The Resort at Red Hawk, 6600 N. Wingfield Springs Parkway in Sparks. This “day at the races” includes lunch with wine, live and silent auctions full of exciting items, mint juleps, prizes for the most creative hats, an opportunity to place a friendly wager, and the 137th Kentucky Derby on big screen televisions. All proceeds will benefit the RCO. Along with being the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year, Derby Day is a lot of fun.

Reserve your place now by calling (775) 348-9413. Tickets are $70 per person ($25 of which is a tax-deductible contribution to the RCO). We can also arrange for tables of eight or ten, so reserve a table, invite your friends, and enjoy a great afternoon with us. Deadline for reservations is Monday, April 27.

If you have high quality, luxury, or one-of-a-kind items or events that you think might be appropriate for the Derby Day auctions, we would welcome your donation. Please contact Marsha Cohen, RCO Board member, at [email protected] or (775) 770-4865 for more information.
