SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

Truckee Meadows Water Authority will offer winterization workshops to customers in October to help residents prepare their homes for cold weather and freezing temperatures.

The first of two free workshops will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 5:30 p.m., and the second is on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 5:30 p.m. Both workshops will be led by TMWA’s Conservation department at TMWA’s main office, located at 1355 Capital Blvd. in Reno.

Each winter, many homeowners face the expense and inconvenience of frozen water pipes. Avoid this expense and trouble by attending one of these free workshops to learn how to protect your home’s pipes – inside and out – from freezing temperatures this winter.

For more information about winterization, please visit the “Conservation” section of www.tmh2o.com. To RSVP, please call 834-8005 or e-mail [email protected].
