Free concert series at Legends Sparks Marina

Northern Nevada Medical Center proudly presents the Legends Outlets Sparks Marina Family concert series.

The free concerts happen every Saturday evening from 3 to 5 pm, and feature local musicians performing a variety of musical styles from folk music to rock. Each performance is appropriate for all ages.

“As Sparks’ family hospital for over 25 years, we are pleased to partner with the Legends to provide this entertainment for the community,” said Mark W. Crawford, CEO of Northern Nevada Medical Center.

“There is a lot of great talent participating in this series,” said Dennis McGovern, General Manager of the Legends. “It’s going to be fun for the whole family, and we feel it will enhance our customers’ shopping experience.”

There are five performers being featured during the series:

* September 18th, 2010: Scarlet Presence is a self-proclaimed rock ‘n’ roll, blues, and psychedelic band based out of Reno.
* September 25th, 2010: Bicycles For Afghanistan is a rising cover band located in Reno.
* October 2nd, 2010: Buster Blue utilizes a variety of instruments ranging from accordion to chains to produce their folk pop sound. They are considered one of the most unique sounds in Reno and most recently performed at the 2010 Nugget Rib Cook-off.

The performances will be held at the Legends at either the Tower or History Plaza.
