Hot August Nights has canceled its pre-kickoff event, Spring Fever Revival, originally scheduled for May 15-16 in downtown Reno. The cancellation is in response to closures and health advisories to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

“Our primary concern is the safety of our event and everyone that’s involved with it. Due to the circumstances surrounding our great nation and the state of Nevada, right now we feel that it is the only responsible thing to do” says Executive Director, Mike Whan.

The Spring Fever Revival was a free event for registered car participants in the 2020 Hot August Nights main event. Organizers are still working on production of Hot August Nights events scheduled for later in the summer, including a Virgina City event July 31 and Aug. 1, and the main event Aug. 4 – 9 in Reno and Sparks.
