Annual Senior Fest Scheduled Next Week at Reno Town Mall

Senior Spectrum is scheduled to hold its 24th annual Senior Fest from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 3 at Reno Town Mall, 4001 S. Virginia St. Admission is free.

More than 60 businesses and agencies, including Washoe County Human Services Agency, that help connect seniors and caregivers to resources will be on hand.

Organizers say the goal is to promote healthy aging and wellness for Washoe County’s elderly.

The following services will be offered:

  • Health screenings
  • Flu shots
  • Medicare Advantage information
  • Veterans Administration benefits information
  • Health insurance counseling
  • Information about assisted and independent living options
  • Parks and recreation programs

Live music from Erika Paul and the Swingin’ Jazz Kats, along with performers from the Eldorado Resort Casino’s Cirque show, are among scheduled entertainment.

On-site parking is available at the Reno Town Mall and at in the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa’s lot.
