Two men have been arrested for burglaries of businesses in midtown Reno. James Alvarez, 32, and Pablo Cesar Rivera, 23, have been charged for multiple burglaries.
Reno police issued the following statement:
Detectives were able to identify one of the suspects, James Alvarez, after locating stolen property from one of the burglaries at a local pawn shop. On October 4th, at about 8:30 P.M. detectives from the Regional Crime Suppression Unit, attempted to contact Alvarez in the area of S. Virginia St. and Regency Way.
Alvarez rammed unmarked police cars as he attempted to flee. He eventually crashed and was taken into custody. The SUV Alvarez was driving was stolen. A short time later, in the same area, Alvarez’s accomplice in the burglaries was located. He was identified as Pablo Cezar Rivera. Both men will be charged for their involvement in multiple burglaries which include but are not limited to the Antique Mall, Bangkok Cuisine, and Blue Salon.
