Northern Nevada’s only LGBTQ community center, the non-profit OUR Center, is now open after seven years of hard work and fundraising.
Dignitaries, including Mayor Hillary Schieve and Councilman David Bobzien, spoke with the large crowd in attendance.
Paige Adkins sang the national anthem, and the Nevada Gay Men’s Chorus performed three songs in celebration of the event.
OUR Center is hosting a party Saturday, April 30, 2016 from noon to 4 p.m. at its new facility, 1724 South Wells Avenue.
