The Washoe County Community Services Department will be hosting a meeting to gather public input on a proposal for an additional off-leash pet area within Hidden Valley Regional Park. Washoe County is encouraging all park users to attend to learn about the proposal and to provide feedback.
Handouts with maps will be available at the workshop, as well as a short survey. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can still fill out the survey by clicking here.
The meeting is Thursday, August 28, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Vista Picnic Pavilion, Hidden Valley Regional Park, 4740 Parkway Drive (south of Pembroke).
A report on the proposal and input from the meeting will be heard by the Open Space and Regional Park Commission at their September 2 meeting.
The public will have another opportunity to provide comments during this time. The meeting is held at the Washoe County Complex, 1001 E. Ninth St., Building A, Commission Chambers at 2:30 p.m.
