USC Northern Nevada-Lake Tahoe Alumni Club Hosts SCend Off

RENO, NV. – The USC Northern Nevada-Lake Tahoe Alumni Club will host the 30th Anniversary SCend Off at Round Hill Pines in Zephyr Cove on Saturday, July 26, 2014.

Each summer, USC alumni clubs around the world host SCend Off receptions to welcome incoming USC students to the Trojan Family. SCend Offs help connect new students, their families and friends to local alumni and alumni groups.
There will be an exclusive concert by the Spirit of Troy, USC’s world-renowned marching band featuring members of the USC Song Girls and Spirit Leaders. Tickets are $60 per adult at the gate, $25 for children ages 8 – 18. USC students are free with a valid USC ID. USC alum and KTVN news anchor, Kristen Remington, will MC the event.
David Branson of Reno, Nevada is the recipient of the $3,000 USC Alumni Club of Northern Nevada-Lake Tahoe scholarship, awarded to a local area continuing USC student for outstanding achievements in academics and community involvement. In addition, the Alumni Club will announce the recipient of the annual Carmen Parrish Memorial Scholarship, awarded to a new USC student. This scholarship is awarded annually by the Parrish family.
All funds generated from ticket sales and contributions are used for scholarships, and to bring the Marching Band, Song Girls and Spirit Leaders to the event. For more information, please contact 775.434.USC1 or [email protected].
