CITY OF RENO NEWS — On Saturday, downtown Reno will be filled with horseback riders, floats, drill teams, families, and participants celebrating the Wildest, Richest, Rodeo in the West during the 2013 Reno Rodeo Parade.

The Reno Rodeo Parade will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Downtown Reno. The parade will begin at South Virginia Street and Court Street, travel north on Virginia Street to Commercial Row, head east on Commercial Row, and continue north on Center Street to East 5th Street. Please note Virginia Street will also be closed from Commercial Row to 5th Street for another special event (BBQ, Blues and Brews).

Street closures will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until approximately 12:00 p.m. For a complete list of street closures and lane restrictions visit Reno.gov and click on the “Maps & Construction” section.

The City of Reno is proud to be one of the sponsors for this year’s Reno Rodeo Parade. On March 13, 2013, the Reno City Council approved $5,000 in in-kind sponsorship for City services for the event which will cover the costs associated with traffic control and personnel.

The City of Reno strives to enhance the quality of life for our community by promoting a sustainable and vibrant economy. Supporting and helping grow both regional and local special events in the community is just one example.
