NORTHERN NEVADA MEDICAL CENTER NEWS RELEASE SPARKS – Northern Nevada Medical Center  announces two new members of its Senior Leadership Team. Ryan Heit was hired as Chief Financial Officer. He comes to Northern Nevada Medical Center from The Camden Group, where he served as Finance Manager. Prior to that, he worked as Director of Finance and Controller at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Heit received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from UNLV, and he is pursuing his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Paula Schmidt, RN, MSN

Paula Schmidt, RN, MSN, was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer. She was previously the Director of Medical, Surgical and Telemetry Units at Northern Nevada Medical Center, and has been with NNMC since January of 2012. Previously, she worked Christus Spohn Hospital-Shoreline in Corpus Christi, Texas. Schmidt earned her Master’s in Nursing Administration at Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska and her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Northern Michigan University, in Marquette, Michigan.
