The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra presents the fourth concert in the Classix series on January 13 and 15, featuring Beethoven and Tchaikovsky.Internationally-renowned Argentinian pianist and Gilmore Artist Award recipient Ingrid Fliter will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major op. 58. Plus, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, op. 74 Pathétique.

Prior to the performance, music director and conductor Laura Jackson will offer a pre-concert talk  about the composers, musicians and music the orchestra will perform. Amy Heald, the Reno Philharmonic’s Education Director, will join Laura in a discussion of the evening’s program including their insights into Tchaikovsky’s emotional Symphony No. 6 and the legendary question of how the composer actually died.

The preview is open to all concert-goers; Sunday at 3:00 PM in the main hall and Tuesday at 7:00 PM in the exhibition hall inside the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.Order tickets online here, or by calling the Pioneer Center Box Office, 775-686-6600.
