Renown to offer physicals for school athletes Oct. 10

renown_brochure_091006_b-4Renown Medical Group wants to help get every athlete’s sports season off to an amazing start with a school sports physical at one of eight convenient locations in Reno, Sparks and Fernley. Sports Physical Day at Renown Medical Group locations will take place Saturday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost is only $35 and no appointment is needed.

“School sports physicals identify and deal with health problems that might interfere with participation in a sport,” said John Cassani, D.O. medical director of Renown Medical Group. “The pre-participation sports physical is a complete physical that pays special attention to the cardiopulmonary and the muscle-skeletal systems. The main purpose of this exam is to recognize and assist children who are at risk for illness, injury, or sudden death during sports activities.”
