ThisisReno is hiring a part-time contract reporter to cover the Reno City Council from late January through May of 2016.
Must be available to attend all or partial council meetings on Wednesdays. The council meets about every other week.
This is a temporary, independent contractor position. The number of stories averages 2 to 5 per month with a word count of 200 to 500 words.
Writing and reporting experience is required. Must use own equipment (laptop, camera, etc.) per federal independent contractor requirements.
This position could be extended or changed to other beats after May pending available funds.
