Just before 9 a.m. Monday, March 09, 2015, Reno Police received a call of a possible robbery and carjacking in the 2800 block of Northtowne Lane.

When police arrived, they located a 79-year-male victim of a battery. REMSA and Reno Fire medics arrived and treated the victim, who had received non-life threatening injuries. Officers on scene arrested the male suspect involved but were unable to locate the female victim who had stolen the elderly victim’s late 90’s Kia Sportage.

As the investigation continued, police identified the female suspect.

Shortly after midnight on March 11, 2015 she was located and arrested in downtown Reno. The victim’s vehicle was also located and returned to the elderly man.

Arrested was 31-year-old Lauren Brown.
