Reno’s music culture took center stage once again with the return of the OffBeat Music Festival, a three-day celebration of local, regional and national music talent. This year’s festival was a showcase of northern Nevada’s rapidly growing music scene, featuring over 60 performances across a dozen venues in the city’s Brewery District from Friday through Sunday.

Known for fostering music discovery, OffBeat Fest showcased emerging artists and established acts from across the musical spectrum. From local talent to national acts, the festival’s lineup delivered genres of all styles.

This year’s festivities took place at venues along Fourth Street, from Evans Avenue east to Elko Avenue, with live music, art installations, a vintage market and food and drink vendors. While most events were ticketed, attendees were also able to enjoy performances for free at the Morris Outdoor Stage, an all-ages venue open on Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Steve Emmerich, a festival collaborator and owner of Fresh Bakin’ Promotions, told This Is Reno, ”The Brewery District provided a fantastic canvas for the festival. The seven venues were all very close in proximity, which allowed the festival goers to experience two to three times the music and enjoy very diverse musical genres. Everywhere I looked was all smiles.”

More information on the annual festival can be found on the event’s official website.
