Greater Nevada Credit Union (GNCU) announces Isel Martínez Marcos has been named vice president of accounting and finance.
“We are very excited to have Isel join Greater Nevada,” said Rick Hassman, chief financial officer, GNCU. “She brings a wealth of knowledge with an exceptional balance of both accounting and finance experience. I am delighted to have such an experienced professional join our team and look forward to helping her develop the accounting and finance teams.”
Martínez Marcos has spent her career supporting financial institutions. She brings extensive experience to GNCU leading all aspects of financial and data analysis, liquidity and cash management, capital markets, portfolio management, budget and forecast development, risk management, and asset liability management. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of cost-effective strategies and revenue-generating initiatives for GNCU.

Beginning her career at Moss Adams, Martínez Marcos led financial statement audits for regional banks and credit unions in Texas. She gained experience serving several certified public accountant (CPA) firms, most recently as an audit manager at RSM US LLP, where she continued providing financial statement audit and consulting services to financial institutions. Prior to joining GNCU, Martínez Marcos led the finance and treasury departments at University Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Austin, Texas.
Martínez Marcos holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Tampa. She is also a CPA licensed in the state of Florida. She and her family recently relocated to Reno, Nevada, however, she continues to serve as a board member of the Austin Child Guidance Center in Austin, Texas, which is a nonprofit that provides mental health services to children and their families.
