The Whittier Trust Company of Nevada, Inc. (WTC-NV), an independent wealth management company serving high-net-worth families, individuals and foundations across the United States, has promoted Derek S. Hamblet to Vice President, Client Advisor in the firm’s Reno location.

His responsibilities include building individualized, multi-generational strategies and solutions, as well as upholding a high standard of client satisfaction.

Hamblet previously served as an Investment Analyst for Whittier Trust where he analyzed telecommunications and health care companies for core equity strategies. Additionally, he assisted with the management of accounts for high net-worth clients. Before joining Whittier Trust, Hamblet held the position of Product Specialist at Pertrac Financial Solutions where he focused on investment analytics, solutions and support for asset managers worldwide.

Hamblet earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance with an emphasis in economics and accounting from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2006 and earned his certificate in financial planning from Bryant University. Hamblet is also a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. An honors graduate of Cannon Trust School, Hamblet holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation and is a member of the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation Planned Giving Advisory Counsel.
