Animal Ark helped bringing in the fall season with their annual Harvest Festival this past Saturday. Attendees could watch Animal Ark’s various creatures playing with, and sometimes eating, fall’s most iconic symbol — the pumpkin.

Predators received their pumpkins filled with various meats, which was an additional treat to their normal feeding regimens. After the pumpkins were emptied, many of the animals would play with their food by biting in and tossing it about their pen, much to the excitement of the watching guests.

Omnivores weren’t left out of the fun either with the Ark’s bears receiving pumpkins stuffed to the lid with various fruits. Guests watching noted how careful, Gracie, the Ark’s female black bear carefully removed each piece of fruit, even leaving the rind untouched on her honeydew and pomegranate.

Excellent weather brought more people than expected to the event. They saw amazing animals and got take some great fall photos.
