The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) and the Clean Energy Project (www.cepnv.org) are promoting zero-emission school transportation at the Nevada Legislature this upcoming Monday, May 22, and the morning of May 23.
Funding for electric school bussess may be available through the settlement with VW.
School administrators, school teachers, PTAs, others concerned with air quality in Nevada are all encouraged to explore this additional opportunity to electrify our transportation systems which improve Nevada’s air quality and economy. Utility reps, regulators and other stakeholders in Nevada’s emerging energy storage technologies are also encouraged to attend. Nevada citizens and general public in nearby area such as the Lake Tahoe area are also invited.
The electric school bus will be parked in front of the southwest side of the legislative building on the Nevada Assembly side. The bus and information will be there all day and into the mid-morning on Tuesday, May 23.
Representatives from Adomani Electric, the company bringing the bus to Carson City, will be available to answer questions throughout Monday and also Tuesday morning.
