Soon Reno will have its very own Rattlesnake Club. No, this is not a group of serpent-loving people with a fondness for risky reptiles. We are talking about the next big thing in Reno with just as much bite but with a lot less venom – a club where you can find a little piece of Zen, enjoy a cuppa joe, take in some of the most delectable dining and, at last, find that covert hideaway that captures the essence of Reno’s coffee and culinary scene, without the pretense. It’s that kind of Rattlesnake Club, and it is coming this fall.

As most can attest, Reno has become quite the hotspot for incredible food and coffee. The soon-to-be unveiled Rattlesnake Club will add to the scene beautifully, and take it a step further by creating a true community hub and Reno’s best restaurant. Yep, we said it: Reno’s best restaurant. That’s a lofty goal, but one that the owners have every intention of achieving.

How? With nothing short of oft-forgotten impeccable customer service alongside fresh, healthy cuisine in a unique location inside Arlington Gardens Mall, located just off Plumb Lane. If you’ve never stopped in to Arlington Gardens Mall, you are missing out on some of Reno’s best hidden gems, including a shop that will make you swear you’ve just stepped into authentic Italy, and one where you can find chic Nevada-made gifts. Soon the mall can boast the one and only Rattlesnake Club, the type of place you will want to take your friends to share with them your own hidden gem.

Reno has its share of fantastic hotspots, so what makes Rattlesnake Club so special? First up, the coffee. Before the Rattlesnake Club café opens for lunch each day, the morning starts with the opportunity to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee with fresh-baked scones and pastries, take a deep breath, enjoy an actual newspaper, and essentially give yourself a little “me time.” Either enjoyed on the patio or inside the quaint mall, the star of this show is the brew itself. It’s hand-roasted by the Rattlesnake Club’s owner in a Dietrich Coffee Roaster, and then painstakingly brewed to create the perfect cup, time after time, for a consistent and delicious experience.

Beyond the excellent coffee are the incredible food offerings the restaurant will offer. From the fresh produce grown within steps of the Rattlesnake Club kitchen, in their backyard greenhouse, to the freshest locally-sourced items, the restaurant will provide unique lunch and dinner options served with old-fashioned service and a modern flair (and of course, an extensive wine list). It’s this very dichotomy that makes Rattlesnake Club so cool. It’s modern but not trendy. It’s upscale, but without the fine dining façade, or price tag. Exclusive, but not private. It’s like a country club that every Renoite belongs to, but without the membership fee or dress code.

So the obvious question is – what is with the name Rattlesnake Club? Just ask anyone in our high desert community what will make them stop in their tracks and take note – and you have yourself the one and only Nevada rattlesnake, which is far more captivating than the mountain of the same name. Combine that arresting component with a true “club” feel, and you have yourself the Rattlesnake Club. And coming in fall, it will be your new favorite spot.
