Washoe County Regional Animal Services holds a low-cost vaccination and licensing clinic at the Scolari’s in Sun Valley, located at 5430 Sun Valley Blvd.,  Saturday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services offered including pet licensing, free microchips and low-cost vaccinations.

“Animal Services is committed to the welfare of our community as well as the animals that play such an important role in our lives,” said Animal Services Director Shyanne Schull.

In order to prevent the spread of the highly contagious and potentially deadly Parvovirus in Sun Valley’s pet population, Regional Animal Services is offering low-cost resources to pet owners. Their clinic will be providing dog and cat vaccinations to the Sun Valley community for $10 per vaccination. Additionally, a license will be issued to owners with each rabies vaccination given, $8 for dogs that have been spayed/neutered and $20 for those who have not. Free microchips will also be offered, giving owners the ability to identify their pet and provide proof of ownership.
