For 30 years in Reno every August the streets fill with classic cars. On Monday the party started at the Peppermill with the parking lot filled with shiny classic cars and some not so shiny cars.
This week the celebration will be in Reno and in Sparks and even the outlying communities. Show and shines, parades, dances, music, auctions, drag races, vendors and so much more will be offered to all who want to be part of this iconic event.
For 30 years I have enjoyed seeing the cars and talking to the owners. For me Hot August Nights is one of the things that make Reno special. I know that many people don’t agree, but check out the video for a taste of the opening night.
