Rebecca Skloot’s debut book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks explores what happened when scientists took one woman’s cells without asking permission. Those cells soon sparked a medical revolution.

Skloot is speaking at the University of Nevada, Reno Wednesday about her book, and she caught up with Reno Public Radio’s News Director Michelle Bliss by phone for a preview.
