Off-Road Racing Series Returns to Wild West Motorsports Park

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series returns to the Reno area this weekend at the Wild West Motorsports Park.

It will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22 and 23 beginning at 11 a.m. Tickets start at $25; children 12 and under may attend for free. For tickets and questions, visit www.lucasoiloffroad.com.

The event opens at 11 a.m. each day, and qualifying starts at 12:30 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 2 p.m. Pits are open to the public. Food vendors will also be on site.

Wild West Motosports Park is located 12005 East I-80, in Sparks, through exit 23, the Mustang exist.

“‘The Optima Batteries Silver State Showdown Presented by Loanmart’ is an exciting time as we approach the last leg of our nearly year-long racing series and the Wild West Motorsports Park is the perfect venue for fans to catch all of the action,” said Ken Johnson, promotions and marketing director for Lucas Oil Off Road. “The best racers in the sport are ready to compete in what is sure to be some of the most thrilling racing we’ve seen so far this year.”

The Lucas Off Road Racing Series is short course, off-road four-wheel-drive racing. The event is in its fourth year in the area.
