Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada announced today the date of the grand opening ceremony for “St. Vincent’s Super Thrift” at 190 East Glendale Avenue in Sparks. The long-awaited thrift store will open to the public for shopping on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m.
Sparks Mayor Geno Martini and Catholic Charities CEO Peter Vogel will cut a ribbon at 10:00 a.m. Customers will then be allowed inside the new store where they will find deals on used furniture, clothing, antiques, household items and children’s toys.
100% of the revenue made at St. Vincent’s Super Thrift goes toward funding the poverty assistance programs under Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada.
St. Vincent’s Super Thrift is the second thrift store location for Catholic Charities. The original store, St. Vincent’s Thrift Shop, will remain at 500 East Fourth Street.
