The University of Nevada School of Medicine’s free Student Outreach Clinics for April are scheduled for the following dates: A children’s clinic will be held April 7 from 6 to 9 p.m.; a women’s clinic will be held on April 18 from 8 a.m. to noon; and a general clinic will be held April 25 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Clinics are held at the School of Medicine’s Family Medicine Center, located on the University of Nevada, Reno campus just north of Mackay Stadium off of North Virginia Street. Take RTC bus route 7 to North Virginia Street or the free Sierra Spirit bus.
Student Outreach Clinics are a free service providing much needed care for Washoe County’s medically uninsured population. Clinics offer physicals for work or school, EKGs, blood pressure monitoring, referrals and selected lab services at discounted fees.
Under the direct supervision of licensed faculty and community physicians, medical students from the University of Nevada School of Medicine offer monthly Student Outreach Clinics providing free care to the medically uninsured. No appointment is necessary for clinic patients who are seen on a first come, first served basis. Spanish translators are available as needed.
