Moana Nursery again joined the ranks of the horticulture industry’s top independent garden centers when it was named one of Today’s Garden Center magazine’s Revolutionary 100 Garden Centers for 2014 — the seventh straight year.
The nursery was also named to IGC Retailer’s Visionary Independent Garden Center Top 100 Retailers, moving up to #48 in size and influence. And, reaching #23 in the Top 100 as ranked by gardencenter, the retailer continued to be recognized nationally among thousands of Garden Centers in the USA, many in much larger markets.
The Revolutionary 100 program, which began in 2006, surveys garden center owners and managers and culminates in a listing of the 100 most revolutionary garden centers in the nation. It is open to all independent garden centers, large and small, and is based on leadership and innovation, not on size or revenue.

Garden center owners and managers across the United States fill out an extensive online questionnaire covering topics such as customer and community service, management philosophy, marketing, use of technology, purchasing, customer statistics and profitability.

Each full-service garden center is home to a Wild Birds Unlimited Store which is part of the original and largest franchise of backyard bird feeding and nature specialty stores. Moana Nursery also specializes in both residential and commercial landscape design and installation, holiday lighting, irrigation design & installation, bedding and container planting, and an interior plant service which provides design, installation, maintenance and rentals.
