Entering its 13th year, the Nevada Women’s Expo will be returning to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center March 28 and 29. With more than 200 local businesses, non-profit organizations, and government services, there’s something for everyone. More than 5,000 women are reached with the Expo each year, learning how to pamper themselves, help their families, and enjoy the best of what Reno has to offer.

At 11:30 a.m. on March 28, Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve will welcome everyone to the Expo, talking about the importance of events like this. “I’m extremely honored to participate in the Nevada Women’s Expo, particularly to welcome attendees to this amazing event,” Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve says. “This expo and other local events such as the recent Girl Empire Conference are important for empowering women in our community. Reno is growing and changing, and women of all ages and backgrounds are going to play a pivotal role in our continued success as a City.”

Each year, the Expo chooses a non-profit to support and this year’s choice was the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discover Museum — they’ll receive 100% of the proceeds from the purchase of VIP tickets.

Las Vegas comedy headliner Jeff Civilico will be appearing Saturday, March 28. Twelve local first responders will be appearing in a fashion show sponsored by Macy’s. United Blood Services will be accepting blood donations during the Expo. Grassroots Books is hosting five local women authors, including Ellen Hopkins.

This year’s Expo promises to be an excellent way to pass the weekend. For more information, visit nevadawomensexpo.com.
