Chamber Orchestra executive director steps down

Date:

faulkner-2479027-8158669The Reno Chamber Orchestra announced today that Scott Faulkner is resigning as executive director effective May 3, 2015.

Faulkner will continue playing as a member of the orchestra’s bass section and as the principal bassist of the Reno Philharmonic. He is also pursuing other performing opportunities and writing projects, in addition to teaching and consulting.

“We will miss Scott’s leadership, hard work, his always welcoming demeanor and his musical sensibilities,” said RCO Board President Karen Penner-Johnson. “I’m so glad he will continue to play in the orchestra and support the RCO from a different vantage point.”

The Reno Chamber Orchestra Board is conducting a national search for Faulkner’s replacement. Associate Executive Director, Chris Morrison, will serve as interim executive director.
