Registration is now open for Hack4Reno 2014, a collaborative event organized by the City of Reno, Code for Reno, and Reno Collective.
Hack4Reno is a civic hackathon during which diverse teams of developers, designers, and journalists use city and county data to build web and mobile apps. The event encourages local government agencies to support open data and collaborate with the talented, civic-minded tech community.
“Hack4Reno is a great opportunity for citizens and local government to collectively build a smarter city using open data and innovative technology,” Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger says.
The fourth annual event will be hosted at the Reno Collective, October 25 from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and October 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those interested can register at hack4reno.challengepost.com.
In addition, the City of Reno has formally recognized “Hack4Reno Weekend” in a proclamation.
