Transit riders should be aware several RTC routes will be modified the evening of Friday, October 3rd. The City of Reno is closing Virginia Street between Liberty Street and 9th Street to accommodate the March from the Arch parade, which is part of the University of Nevada, Reno’s Homecoming festivities.
The closure is expected to begin at 5:45 p.m. and may remain in place for several hours. During this time, the following RTC routes will be impacted: RTC SIERRA SPIRIT, RTC INTERCITY (inbound only), route 3, route 4, route 6, route 7, route 16 and route 17. Riders should anticipate the possibility of short delays due to the detour around the road closure.
